This is a gem of a piano. Back in the golden era of American piano manufacturing, Steinway and Sohmer each had showrooms on 57th street in New York City. They were constantly trying to outdo each other. The same methodology and highly refined manufacturing went into the Sohmer pianos as Steinway. This Sohmer was rebuilt and refinished to the highest standards in the 1990’s and has a rich, warm sound. The hand built action is responsive to the most subtle nuance.
