Blüthner Grand Piano

Blüthner is regarded as one of the finest pianos in the world. They have been hand-built in Germany since 1853 and are still owned by the original Blüthner family. Blüthner has a sound signature unlike any other piano. Most European pianos have a clear, focused, bell-like tone. While Blüthner has these qualities, there is so much more! There is a richness of overtones that is like no other piano you have heard.

This piano was restored in the 1980’s in London and plays on a very high level. Our technicians went through with regulation, voicing, and also refreshed the gorgeous rosewood finish.

The action is fairly light, and very responsive. The tone has a very long sustain which allows for creating long singing lines of music. You will never hear a harsh sound out of this Blüthner. Utilizing different levels of energy creates different colors of sound rather than just loud or soft. And the piano opens up with rich overtones when exerting great energy into it – a total joy to play!
