Chickering Baby Grand Piano 140331

This piano was rebuilt with the following new parts:

• Key bushings
• Center rail bushings
• Hammers
• Shanks
• Knuckles
• Back checks
• Trap work rebuilt

In addition, the case was refinished and the piano has been refined with fine level regulation, voicing and tuning. This is a Chickering piano from the glorious period in American piano building when there were still hundreds of piano companies making instruments in the United States. And Chickering was one of the top American companies that had been the number one producer of pianos in the country.

What makes this piano particularly special is the soundboard which is in great condition and produces a warm, projecting sound. This is a classic example of one of the great American pianos which has been restored to play like it did when it was young.
