Mason and Hamlin Concert Grand Piano 1767

This is one of the great Mason & Hamlin concert grands in wonderful condition. The action appears to have been rebuilt fairly recently. The hammers are like new. The piano was in a very gentle environment and the strings are very shiny and produce a vibrant tone.

It’s the soundboard of a piano that is the most critical component in the overall sound of a piano and this soundboard produces a vibrant, rich tone.

Mason & Hamlin pianos in general have a very fat tone. When you have a concert grand with all the technologies unique to Mason & Hamlin such as the Tension Resonator System which helps to assure excellent soundboard crown, in a piano of this size, it is an incredible experience to behold!

The action is fluid without being too light. There is substance and precision. The case while not brand new looking has an attractive appearance as well.
