This is a Steinway manufactured in New York before the CBS era of generally lower quality manufacturing. It has new bass strings new hammers, refinished case, and new key tops. It is a glorious instrument with a fluid action and rich sound.

The model M is a very popular size because the sound is much richer than the smaller model S, yet still fits comfortably in almost any room. It is great to have a Steinway that isn’t very old, yet from a high quality manufacturing period.

The piano has been prepped by one of the top Steinway technicians on the West Coast. Since the worn parts have been replaced, you should expect to enjoy a high level playing experience for years to come with regular maintenance.
