Baldwin Concert Grand

Through most of the 20th century, Baldwin and Steinway dominated the concert market. Of course Steinway won the marketing war. But anyone who has had experience with these pianos knows they both made superb concert instruments.

This piano has just been rebuilt with new damper felts, refinished damper heads, new damper guide rail felts, new agraffes, pinblock, strings, tuning pins, refinished soundboard, re-bronzed plate, re-plated metal hardware, refinished case, re-bushed pedal lyre.

The action is in close to new condition. The soundboard has been refinished and had no cracks before rebuilding.

This piano is incredibly unusual since concert grands are usually used a tremendous amount, and oftentimes moved a great deal. So they rarely are found in the amazing condition this piano was in before we rebuilt it

For the price of a mid-range Asian production piano, you can have a concert grand piano of the highest caliber that can last generations with proper care.
