Knabe is one of the greatest American piano makers of all time. This piano was rebuilt in the 1990’s with new strings, new tuning pins, new damper felts and other new parts. The case was also refinished. The action is in great shape and is regulated to a very high level of performance.

One thing that makes this piano so special is the wide tail which allows for a bigger soundboard than in other pianos of its size. So, the tone of the piano is closer to the sound of a full grand piano with a characteristic warmth that Knabe is famous for.
