One of the greatest pianos ever manufactured, the Mason & Hamlin CC Concert Grand piano is rare. Even more unusual are the 9-foot 4-inch models which are again being produced outside of Boston! (Most Mason & Hamlin concert grands are only 9-feet long.)

There are many aspects of this piano that are unique to Mason & Hamlin. The structure of the piano is more robust than any other piano. Consider this

• The inner and outer rims of this piano are massive offering greater longevity than regular pianos.
• The wood is further reinforced with the patented Tension Resonator System. This metal bracing further supports the piano.

This is why Mason & Hamlin pianos retain soundboard crown longer than other pianos.

The good news about this Mason & Hamlin concert grand is that it was rebuilt fairly recently with new strings, tuning pins, damper felt, hammers and other action parts. So the performance and sound are on a high level. The soundboard has good crown which is evident in the rich, singing tone.

American pianos generally have a fatter sound than the more focused European piano sound. Mason & Hamlin has perhaps the fattest tone of any piano. Since this is the largest of the Mason & Hamlin pianos, it offers the ultimate if you appreciate the warm, blending sound of American pianos.
