Mason & Hamlin Model AA Grand Piano 16277

This is a Mason & Hamlin grand piano made at one of the greatest periods in their history of manufacturing pianos. The instrument has been restrung at some point and has a vibrant tone. The hammers and shanks are almost new. The action weight is medium and the sound of the piano is robust and singing. The piano has also been refinished and looks beautiful.

The piano has the original, real keytops in very good condition which reflects upon its gentle life. Mason & Hamlin grand pianos have larger soundboards than comparable size pianos from other companies. They achieve this by having a wider tail which allows for a bigger soundboard. So, this piano has as big and rich a sound as many semi-concert grand pianos without taking up so much space in your home.

Model AA Mason & Hamlin pianos are hard to come by because they have never been mass produced. However, they are one of only 2 companies still producing pianos in this country (along with Steinway) from over 1800 that were producing at the time this piano was made.
