This is a like new Boston upright piano designed by Steinway and manufactured in Japan by Kawai. it is a tall piano that offers a big, rich tone. It features duplex scaling for enhanced tone. It also has a lower tension scale than most Asian pianos which produces a warmer tone. The soundboard is high quality Sitka spruce which is tapered which allows for additional resonance of the sound.

The piano has 11 layers of hard rock maple in the pinblock for good tuning stability. The action is all wood (unlike Kawai branded pianos which have primarily plastic actions).

The design of the cabinet is unusual in that there are 2 positions In one position, the sound is free to travel out the sides which enhances the sound. It also has a slow close fallboard to protect little fingers!

The piano has had minimal play and is regulated, voiced and tuned to play on a high level. This piano is in as good condition as a used piano possibly can be. If you are after a high quality upright in excellent condition, this is a prime choice for you.
