This is a glorious piano from a bygone era when craftsmanship in the American piano industry was at a pinnacle. You don’t see woods like this anymore. The hand carvings are priceless relics to be treasured for years to come.

The piano was recently rebuilt with new pinblock, tuning pins, strings, damper felts, Steinway hammers & shanks, and new whippens (repetitions). So, the action is rebuilt from top to bottom to play on a very high level. The plate has also been re-gilded and the soundboard has been refinished. It has a new pinblock for excellent tuning stability.

They really don’t build them like this anymore. One look and you know this is something special. But when you hear it, the sound will stay with you for a lifetime. There aren’t too many pianos like this around and over time they will all but disappear. If you appreciate pianos like this, you should get it while you can.
