Steinway & Sons Grand Piano

This is a rebuilt Steinway built in New York in 1957. It features the exotic crinkle finish plate, which has been re-gilded. These plates are only available on Steinways manufactured from 1956–1958. The piano has an attractive satin ebony finish and comes with an adjustable, padded artist bench.

The piano has been restrung with new tuning pins and damper felts. It also has new key bushings and front rail bushings, and a new soundboard. The bridges have been recapped for clean string termination, which provides exceptional purity of tone. The action is the original Steinway action, which shows only moderate wear and performs at a high level. This is a great example of what Steinway was producing in a good era of manufacturing before the company was sold to CBS.
