This Steinway comes from an era when player pianos were all the rage in American homes early in the 20th century. This piano had a player system in it at one time which has been removed. The scale design is identical to the popular Steinway model M except with longer keys. So, this piano offers a touch closer to a 9-foot concert grand, yet with the volume of a smaller piano.
This piano has newer Steinway hammers and has been restrung at some point. The case has also been refinished. This piano is capable of a large dynamic range. Our technicians have gone through the piano inside and out performing regulation and voicing to achieve a balanced, warm sound.
This is a classic Steinway produced at a stellar period of time for Steinway. If you are after a fine Steinway with the feel of a large grand and yet with moderate volume, this is a great piano for you.
