Steinway Grand Piano Model O 217844

This is a New York Steinway that has been restored to play, sound and look great! It has newer Steinway hammers and shanks. It also has been re-strung with Mapes Gold International Series strings which are the same strings used by Steinway in their New York factory. There are new tuning pins and damper felts as well. Yet, the original key tops are intact – a sign of a very gentle life.

What sets a vintage piano apart is the soundboard which must retain integrity in order to produce a rich, powerful tone. This piano has benefitted from a gentle life. So, the restoration has resulted in a very high level instrument.

The case has been refinished. The plate has been re-gilded and the metal hardware has all been re-plated. So the piano looks spectacular as well.
