If you have searched for used Yamaha U1 pianos, you have probably encountered many instruments that have substantial wear. These pianos are O.K. for a while, but will require substantial work if they are played on a regular basis. That’s why it is so refreshing to find a U1 in such good condition – a piano that can take major use for years with regular maintanence and provide a high level playing experience.

The cabinet looks good with some small signs of wear, but generally very good condition. The sound is rich and more mellow than instruments which have more wear. This is because the hammers on this piano have excellent felt. So, the tone is rounder and warmer than on other Yamaha U1’s of this age.
