Another great Baldwin L has come to us! The model L is a pinnacle achievement in piano scale design and tonality. This piano performs like a much larger instrument than it is. It is a size unavailable in a Steinway except for the rare model A3 which was produced only for a short period of time. For most of the 20th century, Steinway had the model L at 5-feet 10 1/2 inches and the model B at 6-feet 11-inches with no models in between! At 6-feet 3-inches, the Baldwin Artist Series model L piano is a substantial instrument that won’t overpower your home, yet offers a rich, rewarding sound.

From one of the company’s most substantial periods of production, this Baldwin has seen very minimal use throughout its life. It has also been kept in very fine condition benefitting from the gentle California climate. We performed fine regulation and voicing to give this piano a concert level of performance. The action is of medium weight and the piano is so evenly voiced that the transitions between the bass, tenor and treble registers are imperceptible.

This is a fine American piano from one of this country’s finest purveyors of musical instruments. Baldwin alongside Steinway & Sons, was an institution on the concert platform worldwide.
