We are pleased and proud to offer another one of Baldwin’s esteemed Artist Series Grand Pianos. The model R is comparable to the Steinway M and offers even a little bit more length. It’s a wonderful scale design that was carefully crafted to provide the player with the maximum amount of tone for a piano under 6 feet.

This piano had a single owner who took great care of the instrument. The piano has seen very little use over the years and it came as no surprise when its marvelous tone was revealed after fine regulation and voicing. The action is fast and allows for ease of playing. The best part about the piano is its upper register which makes melodies sing with a rich tone. The sound is full and clear with remarkably smooth transitions throughout all registers.

This is an excellent piano for any level player and has a classic look in a wide variety of settings. The walnut finish is the classic sprayed lacquer which is hand rubbed for a deep, lustrous appearance with rich, detailed wood grain. Baldwin was one of the great American piano companies, once the largest in the U.S.A. With proper care and routine maintenance, it could be around for generations to come.
