Chickering Grand Piano 144580

This is a Chickering piano from the Golden Era of American piano building. It appears to have been rebuilt and refinished probably in the 1960’s to early 1970’s with new tuning pins, strings, damper felts and keytops bringing a new life to this instrument. The tone is vibrant and the action is responsive with good evenness throughout.

Chickering is one of the most respected piano makers going back to the early 1800’s and was the largest piano maker in America at one time. The tone of this piano is a classic example of the warm tone the best Chickering pianos exhibit.
