Schafer & Sons White Baby Grand

Schafer & Sons was once the second most popular piano brand in California! It was the brainchild of Vern Schafer, the owner of what was once the biggest chain of piano stores in America. Vern sourced pianos from all over the world including Schimmel pianos from Germany for his Schafer & Sons piano brand. This piano was manufactured by Samick and built in Korea. Samick started building pianos in 1960. Samick today produces several piano brands including Seiler, Knabe, Kohler & Campbell, Pramberger and more.

This particular instrument shows absolutely no signs of wear. So the action is smooth, responsive and quiet. More importantly, the soundboard exhibits remarkable sustain in the treble for any instrument, much less a piano in this price range. There are also no signs of corrosion of any metal parts, or sun-fading of the finish.

The piano has a clear, warm sound. This instrument is suitable for a serious student and should provide decades of high level performance provided it is kept in a stable environment and serviced on a regular basis.
