Reichardt Baby Grand Piano 47584

This is a New York made piano from the golden era prior to WWII. The piano has been well maintained over the years and has benefited from the gentle California climate. It has new Mapes bass strings (same strings found on Steinway pianos).

There are many lower quality small baby grands on the market that are little more than furniture pieces. It is very unusual to find a hand-made, American piano of quality when looking for smaller instruments. So this is a rare find!

The finish is attractive and in good shape. The piano plays evenly and has the characteristic, warm American tone, not the more metallic sound typical of Asian pianos. This is a good choice if you don’t have room for a larger instrument but want to enjoy the benefits of sound, action and look of a baby grand.
