Mason & Hamlin Grand Piano – Model AA 21944

This is a rebuilt Mason & Hamlin from a stellar period of time in Mason & Hamlin’s rich history of piano building. The work performed on this piano is on the highest level. It has a new pinblock and tuning pins and strings. So, the tuning stability should be as good as a new piano.

The bridges have been re-worked with new graphite, sanded and refinished. The plate has been re-gilded and the piano was refinished recently. There is new damper felt as well. There are also new agraffes which enables a clean, singing tone. It has new German key tops. The hammers are quite new as well. All metal parts have also been re-plated.

Mason & Hamlin is one of only 2 companies left from the over 1800 that were producing pianos 100 years ago in the United States. The model AA is very popular because of its robust tone and fat bass.
