The Steinway Model C is one of the most highly regarded of all Steinway models and there are very few of them available. That’s because for most of the 20th century they have only been manufactured in Hamburg, Germany. In fact today, all Steinway models are made in both New York and Hamburg except for the model C which is only built in Hamburg. This piano was made in New York and has just been rebuilt with new parts including

The piano case has also been refinished with a sprayed lacquer hand-rubbed finish. The plate has been re-gilded and metal hardware is re-plated. So, the piano looks spectacular! Since all worn parts have been replaced, the performance of the piano is on a very high level. It has been regulated and voiced for the most discerning player.

The Steinway Model C is larger than the Model B and offers a bigger bass and extremely rich sound. There are many people who prefer it to both the B as well as the concert grand D because of the balance of the tone.
