Steinway Model A Art-Case 88030

This is a beautifully restored Steinway grand piano with a gorgeous art-case. Model A Steinway pianos like this are rare. For most of the 20th century they were only produced in Hamburg, Germany (unlike today when they are made both in Germany and New York). More than that, art-case Steinway pianos are seldom found and add to the value and aesthetic enjoyment of the instrument.

This piano has been rebuilt with a new pin block, strings and tuning pins for excellent tuning stability. It also has new Steinway hammers and shanks. The case is refinished, the plate is re-gilded, all the metal hardware is re-plated and there are many other new parts. So the piano looks and plays very much like it did when it was originally manufactured.

We work closely not only with the re-builders of the piano, but along with concert technicians who regulate and voice the piano to a high standard so professional musicians can appreciate the level of performance for many years to come with proper maintenance.
