Steinway & Sons Console Piano 311210

Another timeless design from the Steinway factory, this piano sports a beautiful walnut cabinet in the Sheraton style. The model 40 was brought to life by Steinway in 1939 and was offered in several different cabinet styles that included Louis XV to a piano that was known as the Victory Vertical designed for military use in World War II.

This piano has a fine set of original keytops which aren’t available on pianos anymore. The original matching bench is included and has a compartment for storage.

The piano has been gone through inside and out having received adjustments to bring it back to its former glory. The piano has a responsive fluid action with warm tonal qualities. We suspect the piano has been refinished at some point in time and its quality is nothing less than stunning.

The model 40 from the very beginning was just as high quality as any other Steinway product and was designed with the working musician in mind. A piano that with the right care, will be making music for generations to come.
